PASS B — THE CONTRACT LEDGER
Offer. Consideration. Sign. Blood. Obligation. Enforcement. Exit. Restoration.
PASS B RULE
Do not treat every covenant, oath, command, betrayal or coercive bargain as the same thing.
Log the transaction first; compare structures second.
Separate voluntary covenant from imposed rule, extortion, political extraction, betrayal-for-payment and coerced worship.
Where the text does not specify voluntariness, do not invent it.
Marks, blood and renaming are fields in the ledger, not automatic proof of ownership.
Every proposed IWL Contract parallel must survive differences in parties, terms, enforcement and exit.

PASS B — CONTRACT TYPES
TYPE 1 — Covenant / reciprocal allegiance: Noah, Abraham, Sinai, Joshua renewal, Davidic covenant, New Covenant. These contain promises, obligations, signs and/or restoration; they should not be equated automatically with coercive ownership.
TYPE 2 — Power-for-allegiance offer: Jesus' temptation is the clearest direct case. Revelation 13 is the clearest coercive institutional version.
TYPE 3 — Crisis extraction: Joseph's famine administration, monarchy taxation/labor, debt bondage, imperial tribute. The subject needs protection, food or political survival and gives up property, labor or autonomy.
TYPE 4 — Forced domination: Pharaoh, Daniel 3/6, crucifixion-state power. These are not true voluntary contracts even if rules or decrees exist.
TYPE 5 — Betrayal / sale: Esau's birthright exchange, Judas' payment, Naboth's failed sale followed by seizure. A person, inheritance or loyalty becomes transactional.
TYPE 6 — Vow / self-binding promise: Jephthah, Hannah and Levitical vows. The individual initiates or accepts a commitment and later faces the cost.
TYPE 7 — Counterfeit / deceptive contract: Serpent counter-offer, false prophets, false gospel, deceptive signs. The core issue is whether the offered benefit and claimed authority are truthful.
TYPE 8 — System participation: Babylon and beast-regime imagery. Benefit is not merely a single payment but continued access to economy, status and security through participation.
THE IWL CONTRACT — PROVISIONAL TEST
A single universal 'Contract' has not yet been established. The text contains several materially different transaction classes.
The strongest recurring IWL family resemblance is: vulnerability or desire → authority/offer → demanded allegiance, labor, property, worship or identity signal → benefit/access → enforcement for breach.
The most important discriminator is voluntariness. Sinai, Joshua 24, discipleship and the rich ruler preserve some form of assent/refusal; Pharaoh, Daniel 3 and Revelation 13 are coercive.
The second discriminator is exit. Some systems explicitly allow repentance, redemption or refusal; others punish exit or make it economically or physically dangerous.
The third discriminator is who pays. Several biblical covenants culminate in divine/self-giving claims, while exploitative systems transfer the cost downward to the subject. That difference is central, not cosmetic.
Marks cannot be treated as one category. Cain's mark protects; circumcision signifies covenant; imperial seals authorize decrees; Revelation's beast-mark denotes coerced allegiance/economic access.
Blood cannot be treated as one consideration. Passover blood protects; covenant blood ratifies; murder blood accuses; sacrificial blood ritualizes; crucifixion blood belongs to a distinct theological claim.
HIGH-VALUE IWL CHAINS
CONTROL CHAIN: 1 Samuel 8 warning → Solomonic labor/accumulation → Rehoboam's heavy-yoke dispute → kingdom fracture.
CRISIS-EXTRACTION CHAIN: Famine → Joseph's food administration → money exhausted → livestock transferred → land transferred → labor/share obligation.
COUNTERFEIT-AUTHORITY CHAIN: Serpent counter-message → Egyptian counter-signs → lying-spirit/false-prophet episodes → Jesus' warnings → false apostles/gospel → deceptive end-time signs.
MARK / IDENTITY CHAIN: Cain's protective mark → Abrahamic circumcision → royal seals/decrees → apocalyptic sealing → beast mark. Same broad category, radically different functions.
POWER-DEAL CHAIN: Human demand for king → imperial tribute and worship decrees → Jesus offered kingdoms for worship and refuses → Revelation depicts a system that enforces the deal Jesus refused.
EXIT CHAIN: Exodus as escape from forced labor → Jubilee/redemption concepts in law → prophetic calls to return → rich ruler permitted to walk away → Revelation's call to come out of Babylon.
PASS B FINDING
The Contract is now better defined as an IWL investigative category, not a single pre-decided doctrine. Its strongest signature is not simply 'a deal.' It is a transfer of allegiance, autonomy, labor, property, identity or worship in exchange for access, protection, status, survival, power or promised future benefit, with an enforcement mechanism attached.
The biblical record also supplies the critical control group: agreements that disclose terms, preserve refusal, provide restoration, limit authority or place the cost on the stronger party. Those cases stop IWL from calling every covenant enslavement.
The next useful pass is the Hand / Voice Ledger: who actually delivers each command, dream, prophecy, temptation, sign or revelation; whether the source is direct, mediated, disputed, deceptive or retrospectively identified; and where different voices have been incorrectly merged by later interpretation.
