PASS A — VERSE-LEVEL CHRONOLOGY

Text anchors first. IWL finding second. Identity claims withheld until the sequence earns them.

PASS A METHOD

Anchor every finding to a specific passage.

Keep textual observation separate from IWL inference.

Treat later traditions as later evidence rather than inserting them into earlier texts.

Record disputed chronology as disputed.

Log recurring symbols before interpreting them.

Preserve contradictions and failed parallels.

A-001 — ORDER FROM CHAOS

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 1:1–2:3

OBSERVATION: Creation proceeds through separation, naming, ordering, filling and rest.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Authority first appears as power to define boundaries and categories.

A-002 — IMAGE, DOMINION, RESOURCE

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 1:26–30

OBSERVATION: Humans are made in the divine image and given dominion; plants are assigned for food.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Identity, delegated authority and resource use appear together; stewardship and instrumentalization must not be assumed identical.

A-003 — THE PROHIBITION

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 2:15–17

OBSERVATION: The human is placed in the garden to work and keep it and receives a prohibition concerning knowledge.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The first contract-like structure is a command inside an already granted environment, not a negotiated bargain.

A-004 — THE COUNTER-VOICE

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 3:1–7

OBSERVATION: The serpent questions the command and consequence; the humans eat; perception changes.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The first competing voice contests truth and motive through information rather than force.

A-005 — EXPULSION AND BLOCKED LIFE

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 3:22–24

OBSERVATION: Humans are expelled and access to the tree of life is guarded.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Knowledge gained does not produce unrestricted access. Distinct agents in the scene must not be collapsed into one Hand.

A-006 — ACCEPTED / REJECTED OFFERING

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 4:3–8

OBSERVATION: Cain and Abel offer; differential acceptance precedes warning and murder.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Log offering → differential acceptance → resentment → blood without turning it into a universal rule.

A-007 — THE MARK THAT PROTECTS

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 4:9–16

OBSERVATION: Cain is judged, exiled and marked so others will not kill him.

IWL FINDING / TEST: A mark can identify judgment and provide protection; not every biblical mark can mean ownership or damnation.

A-008 — CORRUPTION AND FLOOD DECISION

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 6:5–13

OBSERVATION: Human wickedness and violence are given as reasons for judgment; Noah is distinguished.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Any engineered-crisis hypothesis must confront the text's stated diagnosis.

A-009 — COVENANT AFTER CATASTROPHE

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 8:20–9:17

OBSERVATION: After the flood come sacrifice, blessing, blood rules, covenant and a sign.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Problem → reset → covenant is a real sequence, but the promise not to repeat the flood is counter-evidence to a simple recurring-reset theory.

A-010 — BABEL

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 11:1–9

OBSERVATION: One language, city and tower precede intervention and dispersal.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Centralized human unity is treated as a power problem; later imperial concentration should be compared without assuming all unity is condemned.

A-011 — ABRAM'S CALL AND PROMISE

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 12:1–9

OBSERVATION: Abram leaves under promises of land, descendants and blessing.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Movement and promise precede formal covenant; this is not a sell-your-soul bargain on the text's face.

A-012 — COVENANT CUT

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 15:1–21

OBSERVATION: Promise is formalized through covenant imagery and land boundaries.

IWL FINDING / TEST: This becomes a baseline for the IWL Contract Ledger: who promises what, and which terms are conditional?

A-013 — RENAMING AND SIGN

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 17:1–14

OBSERVATION: Abram becomes Abraham; covenant identity is tied to descendants and circumcision.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Renaming and bodily sign converge, a strong identity-transfer motif without clear identity erasure.

A-014 — THE TEST OF ISAAC

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 22:1–19

OBSERVATION: Abraham is commanded to offer Isaac; the act is stopped and a substitute appears.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Obedience, son, sacrifice and substitution converge; the interruption is essential evidence.

A-015 — JACOB BECOMES ISRAEL

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 32:22–32; 35:9–15

OBSERVATION: Jacob wrestles with a mysterious figure and receives the name Israel.

IWL FINDING / TEST: A prime Unknown-Hand discipline case: record the text's descriptions before assigning ontology.

A-016 — JOSEPH: SLAVE TO ADMINISTRATOR

TEXT ANCHOR: Genesis 37; 39–47

OBSERVATION: Joseph moves from sale and imprisonment to famine administration; Egyptians exchange wealth, land and labor for food.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Personal captivity becomes state power; Genesis 47 is a major extraction/control case to compare with 1 Samuel 8.

A-017 — JOB'S HEAVENLY CHALLENGE

TEXT ANCHOR: Job 1–2

OBSERVATION: A heavenly accuser challenges Job's motives; losses are permitted within limits.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Allegiance is tested through suffering. Do not automatically equate this figure with every later Lucifer/devil tradition.

A-018 — THE NAME AT THE BUSH

TEXT ANCHOR: Exodus 3:1–15

OBSERVATION: Moses encounters the bush, receives a mission and asks the divine name.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Authority is authenticated through name, commission and promised presence; messenger language and divine speech should be separately logged.

A-019 — PHARAOH: LABOR AND COUNTER-SIGNS

TEXT ANCHOR: Exodus 5:1–9; 7:8–13

OBSERVATION: Pharaoh increases labor after the release demand; Egyptian specialists reproduce an early sign.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Control tightens when challenged, and competing signs mean a sign alone cannot authenticate its source.

A-020 — PASSOVER BLOOD

TEXT ANCHOR: Exodus 12:1–32

OBSERVATION: Blood marks protected households during the final plague.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Blood functions protectively here; keep it separate from murder, temple sacrifice, covenant blood and crucifixion.

A-021 — SEA AND LIBERATION

TEXT ANCHOR: Exodus 14:5–31

OBSERVATION: Pharaoh pursues the departing population; escape is completed through the sea.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Former ownership attempts to reassert itself after release.

A-022 — COVENANT TERMS

TEXT ANCHOR: Exodus 19–24

OBSERVATION: Israel agrees to covenant terms; law is delivered; blood is used in ratification.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Liberation is followed by collective obligation: a central test of consensual allegiance versus coercive dependence.

A-023 — GOLDEN CALF

TEXT ANCHOR: Exodus 32

OBSERVATION: During Moses' absence, the people create a visible object of worship.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Visible substitute authority emerges when the intermediary disappears; track the recurring demand for tangible representation.

A-024 — SCAPEGOAT / TRANSFER

TEXT ANCHOR: Leviticus 16

OBSERVATION: A goat symbolically bears confessed iniquities away from the community.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Symbolic burden transfer is explicit but should not be conflated with identity merger.

A-025 — BLESSING AND CURSE

TEXT ANCHOR: Deuteronomy 28–30

OBSERVATION: Covenant loyalty is linked to blessing, breach to curses, and restoration remains possible.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Benefit, obligation, consequence and restoration form a complete covenant cycle.

A-026 — JOSHUA'S CHOICE

TEXT ANCHOR: Joshua 24:14–28

OBSERVATION: Joshua presents competing objects of service and calls for a choice.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Allegiance is explicitly framed as a decision between authorities.

A-027 — JUDGES CYCLE

TEXT ANCHOR: Judges 2:11–23

OBSERVATION: The book summarizes abandonment, oppression, crying out, deliverance and relapse.

IWL FINDING / TEST: This is an internally stated recurrence pattern and a benchmark for later IWL cycle claims.

A-028 — NO KING

TEXT ANCHOR: Judges 21:25

OBSERVATION: The closing diagnosis says there was no king and people did what was right in their own eyes.

IWL FINDING / TEST: This creates tension with the coming warning about kings: fragmentation and centralized extraction are both presented as risks.

A-029 — WARNING ABOUT THE KING

TEXT ANCHOR: 1 Samuel 8:4–22

OBSERVATION: Samuel warns that a king will take children, labor, land, produce, servants and flocks; the people still demand one.

IWL FINDING / TEST: One of the strongest IWL institutional-control passages because the cost is stated before consent.

A-030 — SAUL AND THE VOICE PROBLEM

TEXT ANCHOR: 1 Samuel 15

OBSERVATION: Saul claims obedience while Samuel accuses him of substituting his judgment for the command.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Speakers can invoke the same authority while describing compliance differently.

A-031 — DAVID CONFRONTED

TEXT ANCHOR: 2 Samuel 11–12

OBSERVATION: David abuses royal power in the Bathsheba/Uriah episode; Nathan confronts him.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The archive preserves an internal accusation against the chosen king: legitimacy does not immunize power from review.

A-032 — SOLOMON'S BURDEN

TEXT ANCHOR: 1 Kings 4:20–28; 5:13–18; 10:14–29; 12:1–16

OBSERVATION: Prosperity, forced labor and accumulation are followed by complaints about a heavy yoke and kingdom fracture.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Warning → institution → accumulation → burden → fracture is a strong chronological chain.

A-033 — ELIJAH AND COMPETING GODS

TEXT ANCHOR: 1 Kings 18:17–40

OBSERVATION: Elijah stages a public contest against Baal's prophets.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Competing religious authorities seek authentication through signs and outcome.

A-034 — LYING SPIRIT

TEXT ANCHOR: 1 Kings 22:19–23

OBSERVATION: Micaiah reports a heavenly scene involving a spirit becoming a lying spirit in royal prophets.

IWL FINDING / TEST: A major Voice Ledger case: claimed supernatural source does not automatically equal trustworthy message.

A-035 — ISAIAH: POWER AND IDOLS

TEXT ANCHOR: Isaiah 10:5–19; 44:9–20

OBSERVATION: Imperial power can be depicted as an instrument and then judged for arrogance; idols are mocked as human manufacture.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Instrumentalization can apply to empire; constructed religious authority is also exposed.

A-036 — JEREMIAH: TEMPLE AS FALSE SECURITY

TEXT ANCHOR: Jeremiah 7:1–15; 23:9–40

OBSERVATION: Jeremiah attacks reliance on the temple as a guarantee and condemns false prophecy.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Neither sacred building nor confident voice authenticates itself.

A-037 — EZEKIEL: WATCHMAN

TEXT ANCHOR: Ezekiel 3:16–21; 33:1–20

OBSERVATION: Ezekiel is assigned responsibility to warn.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Witness duty is defined by transmission of warning rather than control of the audience's response.

A-038 — DANIEL: IMAGE AND STATE WORSHIP

TEXT ANCHOR: Daniel 3

OBSERVATION: Imperial authority commands worship of an image under threat; three Judeans refuse.

IWL FINDING / TEST: State, image, compelled worship and punishment converge; this is a direct anti-submission case.

A-039 — DANIEL: BEAST EMPIRES

TEXT ANCHOR: Daniel 7

OBSERVATION: The vision's beasts are interpreted as kingdoms/powers.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The beast motif is explicitly political/imperial here and becomes the anchor before Revelation or modern mappings.

A-040 — RETURN UNDER EMPIRE

TEXT ANCHOR: Ezra 1:1–4; 6:1–12

OBSERVATION: Persian decrees authorize and finance restoration.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Empire can enable restoration as well as persecute, a pressure point against a one-dimensional empire theory.

A-041 — NEHEMIAH: WALLS AND BOUNDARIES

TEXT ANCHOR: Nehemiah 2–6; 13

OBSERVATION: Physical and communal boundaries are rebuilt and enforced.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Protection, identity and exclusion converge; track when boundary is defensive and when it becomes control.

A-042 — ENOCH / WATCHER LAYER

TEXT ANCHOR: 1 Enoch 6–16 — expanded-canon track

OBSERVATION: Enochic tradition expands Watcher rebellion, forbidden instruction, giants and judgment beyond Genesis' brief material.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Highly relevant to IWL knowledge/intermediary themes, but it belongs in Track 2 rather than being silently inserted into Genesis.

A-043 — JESUS REFUSES THE POWER DEAL

TEXT ANCHOR: Matthew 4:1–11; Luke 4:1–13

OBSERVATION: Jesus refuses temptations involving provision, spectacle/testing and kingdoms/authority.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The cleanest biblical structural analogue to the IWL Deal: power for allegiance is explicit and refused.

A-044 — JESUS AND RELIGIOUS EXTRACTION

TEXT ANCHOR: Mark 7:6–13; 11:15–18; Matthew 23

OBSERVATION: Jesus attacks traditions that nullify obligation, confronts temple commerce and denounces hypocritical leadership.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Religious institution is subjected to internal moral audit.

A-045 — GREATNESS AS SERVICE

TEXT ANCHOR: Mark 10:35–45

OBSERVATION: Jesus contrasts rulers who lord power over others with service and self-giving.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Strong pressure point against any theory that collapses all authority into domination.

A-046 — JUDAS: PAYMENT FOR BETRAYAL

TEXT ANCHOR: Matthew 26:14–16 and parallels

OBSERVATION: Judas agrees to deliver Jesus for money.

IWL FINDING / TEST: A literal transactional betrayal appears inside the passion sequence; keep it distinct from covenant.

A-047 — COVENANT BLOOD AT THE MEAL

TEXT ANCHOR: Luke 22:14–23; Matthew 26:26–29; Mark 14:22–25

OBSERVATION: Jesus interprets the meal using covenant/blood language immediately before arrest.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Older covenant vocabulary is reactivated; compare with Exodus 24 only after preserving differences.

A-048 — STATE / RELIGION CONVERGENCE

TEXT ANCHOR: John 18–19 and Synoptic parallels

OBSERVATION: Religious accusation and Roman execution authority converge in the crucifixion process.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Distinct institutions can align temporarily without being one institution; coalition is not identity.

A-049 — PENTECOST: MANY LANGUAGES

TEXT ANCHOR: Acts 2:1–13

OBSERVATION: Many languages become vehicles of one proclamation.

IWL FINDING / TEST: A chronological counterpoint to Babel: linguistic diversity no longer prevents communication.

A-050 — PROPERTY AND INTERNAL FRAUD

TEXT ANCHOR: Acts 4:32–5:11

OBSERVATION: Voluntary sharing is followed by deception about a property transaction and severe judgment.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Community economics, ownership, truth and discipline converge; distinguish voluntary sharing from compelled confiscation.

A-051 — THE FIRST COUNCIL

TEXT ANCHOR: Acts 15

OBSERVATION: A major dispute over Gentile requirements is resolved through debate, testimony and a communal decision.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Institutional procedure can reduce burdens as well as impose them; important counter-evidence in the organization track.

A-052 — PAUL: PERSECUTOR TO MESSENGER

TEXT ANCHOR: Acts 9; 22; 26

OBSERVATION: Paul's reversal is narrated multiple times with differences in perspective and detail.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Identity transfer is dramatic, but the repeated testimony permits internal comparison rather than a single untested account.

A-053 — FALSE APOSTLES / DIFFERENT GOSPEL

TEXT ANCHOR: 2 Corinthians 11:3–15; Galatians 1:6–9

OBSERVATION: Early Christian letters warn of deceptive teachers and counterfeit messengers.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The movement itself expects imitation and false authority; claimed Christian identity is not self-authenticating.

A-054 — THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS

TEXT ANCHOR: 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12

OBSERVATION: A deceptive lawless figure is associated with signs, claims and delusion.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Signs again fail as standalone authentication. Keep chronology and authorship debates visible.

A-055 — BEAST, MARK AND ECONOMY

TEXT ANCHOR: Revelation 13

OBSERVATION: A beastly authority demands worship; a mark is tied to buying and selling.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Worship, political power, identity-sign and economic participation converge more tightly here than in earlier mark passages.

A-056 — BABYLON'S COMMERCE

TEXT ANCHOR: Revelation 17–18

OBSERVATION: Babylon is portrayed through imperial, sexual, violent and commercial symbolism; merchants mourn its fall.

IWL FINDING / TEST: Power, luxury, trade and human exploitation are joined in the apocalypse's critique.

A-057 — THE FINAL CITY

TEXT ANCHOR: Revelation 21–22

OBSERVATION: The sequence ends with New Jerusalem, restored access to the tree of life and removal of the curse.

IWL FINDING / TEST: The Bible closes by reversing Eden's blocked-life condition; chronology forms garden → exile → long conflict → restored access.

PASS A — PROVISIONAL FINDINGS

The chronology does not produce one simple villain. It produces repeated authentication problems: competing voices, counterfeit signs, corrupt rulers, false prophets, deceptive spirits and institutions that can either protect or exploit.

The strongest Contract chain is not one event but a family of distinct structures: Edenic command, Noahic/Abrahamic covenant, Sinai covenant, royal extraction, betrayal-for-payment, power-for-allegiance, and Revelation's worship/economic coercion.

The strongest control-system sequence currently visible is 1 Samuel 8 → Solomon's accumulation/forced labor → Rehoboam's heavy-yoke dispute → kingdom fracture.

The strongest Unknown-Hand discipline cases are Eden, Jacob's wrestling encounter, Job's accuser, the burning bush/messenger language, Micaiah's lying-spirit vision, and apocalyptic intermediaries. These should be catalogued without prematurely merging identities.

The strongest counter-evidence to a universal submission model is repeated refusal: Hebrew resisters, prophets confronting kings, Jesus refusing worldly authority, Jesus redefining greatness as service, and apostolic warnings against counterfeit authority.

Genesis and Revelation form a large structural bookend: tree of life accessible → access blocked → long covenant/empire conflict → tree of life accessible again. This is a textual chronology finding before it is an IWL interpretation.

PASS B TARGET — CONTRACT LEDGER

The next pass should extract every explicit or implied agreement into a single chronological ledger with these fields: parties; offer; demanded consideration; sign/mark; blood component; stated benefit; stated penalty; voluntariness; intermediary; breach; enforcement; exit mechanism; restoration; and later reinterpretation. This will allow the IWL 'Contract' hypothesis to be tested instead of merely recognized.
