Key finding — the instrumentals
A band known for words spent thirty years periodically removing them. Three separate files, written at different times and never compared, arrived at the same construction: without words (1991), beyond words (1993), without words (2007).
The same section holds the only instrumental in the catalogue named for a person: Malignant Narcissism, Snakes & Arrows, 2007. The band supplied that title, not the archive.
Structural finding — the counter-case
The archive spent 150 files documenting what a transaction looks like in a song. This catalogue spent forty years writing the other side of it. Tom Sawyer — a mind not for rent to any god, government, ideology, or crowd — is the exact inverse of every case filed in the Devil’s Den.
A pattern that only collects confirmations proves nothing. This is the control group.
