A song index answers “what did this artist do?” This one answers a harder question: what shows up in more than one catalogue?
Every motif below appears in the songs of at least three separate artists. Pick one and it opens in release order — earliest recorded instance first — so you can see whether the thing arrives, mutates, or simply repeats.
This is recurrence, not coordination. Two artists using
the same image is a documented fact. Why they both used it is not established here, and
in most cases the plainest explanation is shared culture rather than shared intent. The
index exists so the pattern can be checked, including by anyone who wants to argue it away.
Symbols are split into two groups because they behave differently. Travelling symbols are spread across artists with no single catalogue owning more than 60% of instances. Catalogue tags are concentrated — one or two artists account for nearly everything — so they describe an investigation more than a crossing.
