PASS D — THE BLOOD LEDGER
Blood is not one symbol. Function before synthesis.
PASS D METHOD
Separate murder, sacrifice, covenant, protection, purification, warfare, martyrdom, execution and apocalyptic blood.
Record whose blood it is, who sheds it, and what the text says it does.
Distinguish demanded blood from voluntary offering, violent taking, and protective signs.
Preserve later reinterpretations as later layers.
Only after categorization should IWL test extraction or Contract parallels.

PASS D — BLOOD CLASSES
ACCUSING BLOOD: Abel, innocent blood, Naboth, prophetic indictments and Revelation martyrs: blood functions as evidence demanding justice.
PROTECTIVE BLOOD: Passover is the clearest case. Cain's mark and Rahab's scarlet cord show why signs must not be automatically equated with blood.
COVENANT BLOOD: Exodus 24 and New Testament reinterpretations use blood to ratify or signify covenant.
SACRIFICIAL / PURIFICATION BLOOD: Levitical rites and Hebrews form a developing ritual/theological system.
COERCIVE / EXTRACTED BLOOD: State murder, persecution, empire and Babylon shed subjects' blood to preserve power.
MARTYR BLOOD: John, Stephen, Maccabean martyrs and Revelation witnesses die because testimony/allegiance is not surrendered.
DECEPTIVE BLOOD: Joseph's garment proves authentic blood can be arranged to support a false narrative.
APOCALYPTIC BLOOD: Revelation intensifies blood into purification, judgment and systemic-guilt imagery; genre remains controlling.
PASS D — PROVISIONAL FINDINGS
The hypothesis that blood always represents one transaction fails. The chronology contains materially different functions.
The strongest IWL extraction pattern is innocent blood taken by human systems: Uriah, Naboth, state massacres, martyrs and Babylon.
The Bible repeatedly turns innocent blood into evidence against power: Abel's blood cries from the ground and Revelation charges Babylon with accumulated blood.
Protective signs directly challenge a universal ownership theory. Passover blood protects; Rahab's scarlet cord protects without being blood.
Joseph's goat-blood deception is a major forensic warning: authentic physical evidence can be staged to support a false conclusion.
Hebrews moves sacrificial logic toward singular self-offering. Within Christian theology, direction of payment matters: the covenant-giving figure bears the cost rather than extracting the subordinate's blood.
The endpoint in Revelation 21–22 is the end of death and mourning. Any theory of perpetual divine blood demand must account for that endpoint.
PASS E TARGET — EMPIRE LEDGER
Pass E should trace control systems chronologically: Egypt → Israelite monarchy → Assyria → Babylon → Persia → Hellenistic pressure → Rome → Revelation's composite beast/Babylon system. For each empire, log the offer, extraction method, propaganda or sacred interface, economic control, military enforcement, assimilation pressure, resistance strategy, collapse mechanism and what survives the regime.
